Petitioner submits that considering the period of detention of the petitioner and the fact that the police filed charge-sheet, the petitioner should be granted bail.

Learned advocate for the State submits that the petitioner dealt with public and collected a sum in excess of Rs.16 lac from the public. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner as it transpires from the Case Diary considering the fact that the petitioner dealt with the public relating to funds, and that the proceeds of the crime are yet to be recovered , we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

CRM(DB) 998 of 2022 is rejected.
