The petitioner is an employee of Bhadreswar Municipality.

The Municipality published a notice on 1st June, 2019 regarding promotion.

The petitioner submits that pursuant to the said notice the petitioner applied for promotion but till the date of filing the writ petition the process of promotion has not been completed.

The learned advocate representing the Municipality submits that there has been delay in conclusion of the proceeding because of the pandemic. It has been submitted that the process is ongoing and will be completed soon.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the Bhadreswar Municipality to conclude the proceeding in accordance with law at the earliest.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
