The petitioner claims to be a YouTuber and has exposed corruption on the public platform (YouTube). Counsel for the petitioner submits that the private respondents have threatened and intimidated him from making any such publication and one of the private respondents is a Minister in the State. Harishchandrapur Police Station has submitted a report dated 26th March, 2023. The same is kept with the record.

It appears therefrom that in respect of a complaint and counter complaint by and against the petitioner, FIR was registered and investigation was completed and charge-sheet has been filed against the private respondents and vice versa against some third parties.

Although there is no specific allegation in the complaint dated 4th March, 2023 other than the

statement made across the bar that the petitioner is being restrained from uploading any material on the YouTube, Harishchandrapur Police Station shall ensure that the petitioner is able to function freely and without any hindrance. The petitioner, in turn, shall bear in mind and comply with the applicable law while making statement, in public.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
