Petitioner complains that in spite of informing the police authorities regarding the injury inflicted by the private respondents, no steps have been taken although a cognizable offence was made out.

State has submitted a report. Report reflects that Bagnan Police Station Case No.156 of 2024 dated 15.03.2024 was registered for investigation under the relevant provisions of law.

Having considered the prayers advanced in the writ petition and the steps taken by the police authorities, I am of the view that the police authorities at the relevant point of time took appropriate steps. Since the police report is dated 19.03.2024, I direct that in case charge-sheet has not been submitted till date, the police authorities would

take the investigation to its logical conclusion and submit their report before the jurisdictional court. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 7628 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
