The petitioner submits that he intends to carry out repair works on the building located in the said premises which is about 80 years old.

The petitioner alleges that the Corporation, however, at the instance of respondent no. 6 issued a stop work notice on January 6, 2024, and as such, the petitioner could not carry out the repair work. Thereafter the Corporation gave a hearing to the petitioner but no order has been passed by the Corporation till date. Respondent no. 6, on the other hand, claims her ownership over the relevant premises. Respondent no. 6 also submits that the petitioner has no right to undertake any repair work at the said premises.

Since the Corporation is yet to take any decision in

this matter, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction upon the Corporation to pass necessary orders regarding the repair work at the premises in accordance with law after hearing the petitioner as well as respondent no. 6 within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order.

WPA 7626 of 2024 is disposed of.
