Commercial quantity of phensedyl was recovered from the petitioner. In view of the restriction in Section 37 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to entertain the petitioner's prayer for bail.

The petitioner says that he is in custody for about 872 days. Charge sheet has been submitted. So far as he is aware, April 23, 2021 was the date fixed for framing of charge. However, neither of the parties can apprise us whether or not charge has been framed.

In view of the lengthy detention of the petitioner, we request the learned Trial Court to expedite the consideration of

charge and generally bring the trial to its logical conclusion as soon as the business of the Court may permit. C.R.M. No.2833 of 2021 is, accordingly, dismissed.
