Mina ... ... for the State Petitioners have informed the Superintendent of Police, Purba Bardhaman District by way of a written complaint dated 27.02.2024. Grievance of the petitioners is that the private respondents are dangerous in nature and are interfering with the property of the petitioners, particularly, the waterbody wherein the petitioners are not allowed to carry out their fishery business. Petitioners have extended their prayer before the Superintendent of Police for deputing police personnel.

Learned advocate for the State submits that whenever the petitioners have complained to the local police station, steps have been taken. There are cases also which have been instituted at the behest of the present petitioners.

However, the petitioners complain that no progress in respect of the FIR so registered has been done till date.

Be that at it may, the Superintendent of Police, Purba Bardhaman District shall consider the representation of the present petitioners, positively within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

In the meantime, Inspector-in-Charge, Burdwan Police Station would keep a strict vigil so that no breach of peace takes place or any untoward incident occurs because of the inimical relationship existing between the parties.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 7671 of 2024 is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
