Sen .....for the State None appears on behalf of the petitioner even in the second call. Learned advocate for the State draws the attention of the Court to the material in the case diary. He submits that a mentally challenged lady was ravished by the petitioner. He refers to statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Considering the gravity and the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and considering the fact that the trial is in progress, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

CRM(DB) 1002 of 2022 is rejected.
