Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. Approximately, 2000 liters of kerosene oil, which is an essential commodity governed by the provisions of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, was seized from the possession of the petitioner. There is no explanation as how the petitioner came to possess such quantity of an essential commodity. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 1751 of 2022 is dismissed.
