Perused the report filed by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Domkal, Murshidabad dated April 15, 2023. It appears that the ASHA Selection Committee was reconstituted by nominating the District Magistrate as the Chairperson. As per the direction of the Chairperson, notifications were issued for selection of ASHAs under various sub-centres of the district of Murshidabad. Notification Nos.03/2023 dated March 21, 2023, 05/2023 dated March 22, 2023 and 08/2023 dated April 5, 2023 were issued for selection of ASHA for Raninagar-I Block as well. There are two vacancies under Goas-Sarkarpara SubCentre of Raninagar-I Block. The process is on and the panel will be prepared for filling up the vacancies, as per procedure.

Relevant documents have been annexed to the said report which indicate that the authorities have taken steps pursuant to the earlier direction of this Court. The grievance of the petitioner has been addressed. It is expected that once the process has been started, the same shall be completed expeditiously in a just, proper and fair manner.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
