The petitioner is a primary school teacher. He seeks transfer on medical grounds. It has been averred in the writ petition that he has to travel 110 kms. every day for attending his duties (55 kms. up and 55 kms. down).

It has further been averred that he is suffering from various ailments which are standing in his way from travelling to such far of distance for attending his duties. The petitioner made several representations before the respondent authorities seeking transfer to a nearby school and alleges that none of the representations has been considered till date.

Learned advocate representing the Council submits that presently transfer applications are required to be made

online in the Utshasree portal. The petitioner has not applied through the said portal.

As the respondents have taken decision to consider the applications for transfer through the online portal, accordingly, it will be open for the petitioner to apply in the Utshasree portal seeking transfer on medical grounds. The respondent authorities shall immediately reply to the application made by the petitioner in accordance with law.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible. (Amrita Sinha, J.)
