The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher at Keyamacha High School, District : Paschim Medinipur of the subject "Sanskrit".

The petitioner was initially appointed in the year 2018 and has joined his present school on mutual transfer on February 12, 2021.

The petitioner is praying general transfer on the grounds that the distance between the school and the workplace of his wife is 109 kilometers as such he is unable to see his only daughter who is living with the mother, besides the petitioner is suffering from Orthopedic ailments. Mr. Lahiri, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the petitioner is praying such general transfer on special ground as envisaged under the West Bengal Central School Service Commission (General Transfer, Transfer on Special Grounds and Reallocation) Rules, 2015.

He prays that the pending representation of the petitioner praying such transfer may be directed to be disposed of. The grounds are not convincing enough to entertain the prayer of the petitioner for general transfer, particularly in view of the fact that just in the year 2021, he had consented to his transfer in the present school. WPA 7700 of 2024 is dismissed without any order as to costs.
