The petitioner complains of alleged inaction on the part of the Santipur Police Station, Ranaghat Police District in respect of his missing wife. The Officer-in-charge, Santipur Police Station have submitted a report indicating that the petitioner's wife, namely, Jilik Bardhan herself came to the Police Station and reported that she is back in her house. It appears from the said report that a statement to that effect has been recorded before the Magistrate under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. In view of the above, there is no inaction on the part of Santipur Police Station.

The report of the Santipur Police Station dated 6th June, 2022 in the form of instructions addressed to the Government Pleader, High Court, Calcutta is taken on record.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
