The petitioner seeks release of payment for supply of furniture in terms of an order placed by the Regional Transport Officer, Murshidabad being Memo No.949/MV/Msd dated November 9, 2021.

The petitioner has annexed documents at pp.14 and 15 of the writ petition in support of the submission that the furniture was supplied in the office of the Regional Transport Officer as per the order supplied.

Prayer has been made to direct the respondent authority to release the dues of the petitioner. 5.
Learned counsel for the State has obtained instruction from the Regional Transport Officer, Murshidabad signed on April 2, 2025 saying that the matter is under consideration of the RTO office and that arrangement has been made for physical verification of the items allegedly supplied by the petitioner.

After hearing the parties, I dispose of the instant
writ petition by directing the Regional Transport Officer, Murshidabad to take steps for releasing the payment of the petitioner, upon satisfaction that the items were actually supplied by the petitioner in terms of the order placed. Steps shall be taken at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

If any of the claim of the petitioner is disallowed, then the reason for rejection of the claim shall be made known to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
