Mr. Agarwala, learned advocate appearing for the State submits a report of the Officer-in-Charge, Kulpi Police Station, Sundarban Police District. Let the report dated 29th June, 2021 submitted by the Officer-in-Charge, Kulpi P.S., Sundarban Police District through the learned advocate for the State be kept with the record.
The record reflects that the Kulpi P. S. Case No. 447 of 2017 dated 18th December, 2017 under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code was transferred to Farakka Police Station for investigation as per the order dated 27th February, 2018 passed by the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Diamond Harbour, South 24 Parganas.
In view of the aforesaid, the revisional application challenging the proceedings of the Kulpi Police Station has become infructuous. The petitioner will be at liberty to challenge the proceedings on merits after taking into account the fresh case which has been transferred to the Farakka Police Station.
Accordingly, the revisional application being CRR 970 of 2018 is dismissed as infructuous.
All pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.
Interim order, if any, is hereby vacated.
