In re : CRAN 2 of 2026

1. The applicant was granted bail by a Coordinate Bench on April 5, 2024, inter alia, on the conditions that he will not enter the jurisdiction of Kaliganj and Nakashipara Police Station and shall report to the Officer in charge of the police station concerned within whose jurisdiction he will presently reside, once in a week, until further orders. The applicant now seeks relaxation of those conditions.

2. The applicant says that his residence is within Kaliganj Police Station. He has been scrupulously adhering to the bail conditions. The trial is still in progress. Nobody knows when the trial will conclude. The victim girl has also been examined and cross

examined. He should be allowed to enter the jurisdiction of Kaliganj Police Station.

3. The State has filed a report. Let the report be kept with the records.

4. We see that the applicant has been complying with the bail conditions.

5. Therefore, taking a lenient view and seeing that the trial may not conclude on an early date, we allow the applicant to enter the jurisdiction of Kaliganj and Nakashipara Police Station. The restraint order in that regard stands waived. The applicant will report to the Officer in charge of Kaliganj Police Station once in a month until further orders. The condition requiring him to report to the Officer in charge of the police station concerned within whose jurisdiction he will presently reside, once in a week, stands waived.

6. The other conditions of bail remain unaltered.

7. CRAN 2 of 2026 is disposed of.
