1. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be taken on record.

2. The petitioner is aggrieved that his application for passport has not been considered by the Union.

3. Counsel for the Union submits that the petitioner was issued query in 2020 and did not reply to the same. He further submits that the file was consequently closed.

4. Moreover, FIR under Sections 399 and 402 of the Indian Penal Code are stated to have been filed against the petitioner in the year 1995 in which the petitioner claims he was discharged. After obtaining appropriate documents from the police or the concerned Court, the petitioner may apply afresh for passport in accordance with law.

5. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
