Mr. Dipanjan Dutt Mr. Surojit Saha ....for the petitioner Learned counsel appearing on behalf of thee petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner filed a complaint under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act in the year 2019. Yet, till date only plea could be recorded. This is despite an earlier direction for expeditious disposal passed by this Court on 14th September 2022 in CRR 2363 of 2022. At present, there is no regular presiding officer in the trial Court.

As prayer has been made for expeditious disposal of the proceeding, no prejudice will be caused if an order is passed without issuing notice to the other side.

It appears that proceeding under Section 138 of the NI Act is pending since 2019 with only plea being recorded. Let the trial court expedite the proceeding and act in terms of the stipulations contained for expeditious disposal in the concerned Act. With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
