No.17 WPA 6836 of 2022 In Re: Court on its own motion After reading a newspaper report I passed an order on 12.04.2022 to know, through the Special Officers appointed by this court, about the panel position or position in the wait list of the candidate, namely, Soma Das who is suffering from a very serious disease.

The Special Officers have filed their report today in court, which is kept, on record.

Today I requested Ms. Das to appear before this court as she was in Kolkata beneath a statue of Mahatma Gandhi. The Special Officers requested her to appear personally before this court but she has submitted that she is not ready and willing to get any order from this court for her service on special and sympathetic ground. What she wants is service of all the persons who are waiting at the feet of the Father of the Nation for quite some time and she has submitted that she has been deprived of the service mostly illegally as persons who were not trained were given appointment whereas some of the trained candidates were not given any appointment and she is one of them. However, in respect of her service as

to granting the relief to all who are in demonstration in a place in this city, namely, Mayo Road, I cannot pass any order because no list is before me today and this matter was only one matter which the court started on its own motion. Therefore, after knowing the mind of the candidate, namely, Soma Das that she wants to fight out the issue and she does not need any sympathetic consideration of her case only, I have no other alternative but to drop this case and this case is, therefore, dismissed.

The Special Officers appointed by this court for this purpose is released from their duty.
