And In Re : Satyajit Halder ........ petitioner Mr. Uttam Banerjee ...... for the petitioner Mr. Saswata Gopal Mukherji Mr. Aniket Mitra ...... for the State Petitioner is in custody for 100 days. He submits that he has been falsely implicated. He prays for bail.

Learned lawyer for the State opposes the bail prayer. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner and other in-laws tortured housewife over demands of dowry. She committed suicide within one year of marriage. In view of the gravity of the offences and prima facie materials against the petitioner, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.
