1. This intra-Court appeal is directed against the order dated 4th January, 2021 passed by the learned Single Bench in WPA No.10083 of 2020. In the said writ petition the writ petitioner challenged the provisional order dated 20th February, 2019. The allegation of the appellant is that in spite of payment her electric connection was not restored. The learned Single Bench has rightly held that the petitioner is entitled to submit her objection and such objection will be considered by the concerned officer of West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd.

and thereafter final assessment will be passed. Considering the aforesaid legal position, the learned Single Bench has disposed of the writ petition by directing the appellant to file her objection to the provisional assessment and there was a direction on the respondent to give reasonable opportunity of hearing to the appellant and then pass a final order. A time frame was also fixed by the learned

Single Bench to comply with the above direction. Thus, we find that there are no grounds to interfere with the order passed by the learned Single bench. Accordingly, the appeal and the connected application are dismissed. The time frame fixed by the learned Single Bench in its order for filing objections is extended by a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of the server copy of this order. If objection is filed an opportunity of hearing be afforded to the appellant and final assessment order be passed by the concerned assessing officer within a period of three weeks from the date on which the personal hearing is concluded.
