The grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is against the alleged inaction of the concerned State respondents in not allowing her prayer for transfer to the post of Assistant Teacher of any school in the district of Hooghly from her present place of employment. In view of the recent Circular dated October 16, 2020 issued by the Principal Secretary, Government of West Bengal, School Education Department, this writ petition is disposed of by allowing the petitioner to file the requisite application before the Commissioner of School Education praying for her transfer to any school in the district of Hooghly.

The Commissioner of School Education shall decide the prayer of the petitioner within eight weeks from the date of receipt of the petitioner's application and after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

Since, no affidavit-in-opposition has been called for the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have not been admitted by the respondents.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
