Mr. Saptansu Basu, learned Senior Advocate representing the petitioner and Mr. Sukanta Chakraborty, learned advocate representing the State respondents have jointly submitted that police assistance was provided for evicting unauthorized occupants from the land in question taking note of the order of the Estate Officer dated 2nd September, 2024, which is at page 32 of the writ petition. 2.

It is also submitted on behalf of the petitioner that Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port authority has taken possession of the land in question. However, prayer is made for providing police assistance in future, if necessary. 3.

Learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 9th June, 2026 of the Officerin-Charge, North Port Police Station, Kolkata and same is taken on record. Copy of the said communication dated 9th June, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing the petitioner.

It is disclosed in the said communication dated 9th June, 2026 that on 3rd June, 2026 necessary police assistance was provided to Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port authority and possession was taken of the land in question thereof.

In view of aforesaid facts, no further order need be passed on this writ petition excepting a direction upon the concerned police authority to keep vigil at the locale. 6.

Writ petition stands disposed of.
