The petitioner has approached this Court for expeditious disposal of N. Case No. 91/2021 under Section 21(C) of the NDPS Act pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 6th Court at Barasat.

The petitioner was arrested on 20th July, 2021 allegedly while possessing narcotic substances by the Police. On 28th April, 2022 supplementary charge-sheet has been filed against the petitioner. Charge was framed by the Trial Court only on 4th December, 2022. It is further submitted by the learned Advocate for the petitioner that the learned Trial Judge has already started recording evidence of the witnesses. There are 10 witnesses as per the charge-sheet. Out of them 3 witnesses have been examined. Thus, there is no laches on the part of the learned Trial Judge and the learned Trial Judge is

conducting the case expeditiously. Accordingly, the instant revision is disposed of with the expectation that the learned Trial Judge will proceed with the case in the same manner as he is proceeding and this Court hopes that the trial of the case will end very soon.
