The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher at Gopalganj R.N. High School, District : Dakshin Dinajpur, subject Geography.

There is a pending representation of the petitioner before the Commissioner of School Education, the respondent no.2 herein whereby the petitioner has prayed for general transfer on the ground that the distance between his residence and the school is approximately 524 K.M.

Lahiri, learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that under the West Bengal School Service Commission (General Transfer, Transfer on Special Grounds and Reallocation) Rules, 2015 the petitioner is entitled to pray for such transfer, he prays that the respondent no. 2 may be directed to consider the said representation of the petitioner.

The ground on which the petitioner is seeking general transfer does not appeal to this Court inasmuch as the petitioner is entitled to and is receiving House Rent Allowances, therefore, the representation of the petitioner does not deserve any consideration.

WPA 7806 of 2024 is dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
