Mr. Suryaneel Das, learned Additional Government Pleader representing the State respondents has filed a communication of Inspector-in-Charge, Chakdah Police Station, Ranaghat Police District and same is taken on record. Copy of the said communication is made over to the learned advocate representing the petitioner.

It is disclosed in the communication that in connection with Chakdah P.S. Case No.322 of 2025 dated 10th April, 2025 under Section 85 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, charge-sheet being no.400 of 2025 dated 30th April, 2025 was filed.

It is submitted on behalf of the State respondents that cognizance of offence was taken by the court below and trial has commenced.

In view of commencement of trial in connection with Chakdah P.S. Case No.322 of 2025 dated 10th April, 2025, no further order needs to be passed in this writ petition.

However, it is contended on behalf of the petitioner that husband of the petitioner being respondent no.6 was enlarged on bail and thereafter, he is threatening the petitioner as a result whereof prayer is made during course of hearing to provide police protection to the petitioner.

Since respondent no.6 was enlarged on bail, petitioner requires to take steps in accordance with law by filing an application seeking cancellation of bail before appropriate forum.

With the aforesaid observation, writ petition stands disposed of.
