Despite repeated attempts, notice could not be served upon the private respondent no.8.

The petitioner is alleging that there is a piece of land belonging to the Irrigation Department, Government of West Bengal adjacent to his agricultural land over which the respondent no.8 is putting up construction. The petitioner is complaining that he has a pending representation before the Sub-Divisional Officer, Kharagpur, District Paschim Medinipur, the respondent no.3 herein for removal of the said unauthorized construction, but it has failed to draw attention of the said respondent.

In view of the nature of allegation, the respondent no.3 is obliged to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated March 3, 2025 which forms part of the writ petition in accordance with law, after giving the petitioner and all concerned opportunity of hearing. It is expected that the said respondent shall make all endeavour to dispose of the said representation as expeditiously as possible.

WPA 7211 of 2025 is disposed of with the above direction without any order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
