1. The prayer of the petitioner for grant of appointment on compassionate ground was forwarded for taking necessary action by the Assistant Director of Agriculture (Admn) Soil Conservation, D.P.A.P., Jhargram on 7th July, 2025 to the Joint Director of Agriculture (Soil Conservation) Government of West Bengal. The same is yet to be disposed of by the Joint Director of Agriculture.

2. None represents the respondents. Prayer has been made to direct the authority to finally disposed of the request of the petitioner.

3. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

4. As it appears that the matter is pending consideration before the Joint Director of Agriculture for a considerable period of time, accordingly, no useful purpose will be served by keeping the writ petition pending.

5. The instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 4 to take a decision on the communication forwarded by the Assistant Director of Agriculture (Admn) Soil Conservation, D.P.A.P., Jhargram on 7th July, 2025 strictly in accordance with the

prevailing rules at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

6. The fate of the petitioner's application seeking appointment on compassionate ground shall be made known to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Parties to act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

9. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities. (Amrita Sinha, J.)
