Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that one of the co-accuseds was granted anticipatory bail. The police filed charge-sheet and, therefore, custodial interrogation of the petitioners is not required. Moreover, the petitioner no. 1 is a lady.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that the anticipatory bail of the co-accused was granted in the year 2020. The petitioners are absconding for a period of in excess of two years.

Considering the long absconsion of the petitioners and considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

CRM (A) 1789 of 2022 is rejected.
