Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that there was a delay in the lodgment of the First Information Report. The petitioners were falsely implicated.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the contents of the First Information Report and the materials in the case diary. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners as it transpires from the Case Diary and considering the fact that the petitioner no.1 is the husband of the de facto complainant and the petitioner no.2 is the father in law of the de facto complainant, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

In such circumstances, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected and the application being CRM(A) 1788 of 2022 is dismissed. (Debangsu Basak, J.)
