No one appears on behalf of the respondents, despite service.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the owner of a plot of land in Mouza Jhikurkhali in the district of Purba Medinipur. The private respondents had made some illegal construction by encroaching upon government land in front of the petitioner's property. The same blocked the ingress and egress to the petitioner's land. Accordingly, the petitioner made a representation before the concerned authorities including the SDO, Haldia on 06.02.2023 for taking action in terms of West Bengal Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1962. But the same has not been responded to as yet. It appears that the petitioner's representation dated 06.02.2023 is pending consideration before the concerned authorities.

In view of the above, let the respondent no.3 consider the petitioner's representation in accordance with law and upon hearing the interested parties as expeditiously as possible,

preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

It is clarified that the merits of the case have not been gone into.
