The reasoned order passed by the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation communicated to the parties vide memo dated July 26, 2019 directing removal of the unauthorized construction is pending implementation. As on date no order has been passed by any competent Court staying/varying or vacating the order of demolition.

The order of demolition has attained finality by now and the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation ought to implement the same without any further delay. The Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation is directed to take prompt necessary steps for implementing the order of demolition of the subject construction at East Mall Road, Ward No. VIII at the

earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. The Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate through the Officer-in-Charge, Baguiati Police Station is directed to render adequate police protection to the men and agents of the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation at the time of implementing the order of demolition. The police will also take necessary steps to vacate the unauthorized structures, if the same are found to be occupied. The writ petition stands disposed of.
