The petitioner's case is that he made an application pursuant to the notification of the Government of West Bengal, School Education Department dated 16th October, 2020. This application was for general transfer on special ground.

Such application was made to the Commissioner of School Education on 28th December, 2020 as appears from annexure 'P-6' at page 24 of the writ application. His grievance is that though other teachers'

cases contemporaneously filed have been considered by the Commissioner of School Education, his case has not been considered till date.

Learned advocate appearing for the state has submitted that may be for the pandemic situation there is

some delay. However, if the Court directs the Commissioner of School Education, it will be considered within a reasonable period of time.

I direct the Commissioner of School Education to consider the application filed by the writ petitioner on 28th December, 2020 along with all other papers for transfer within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of the order. The petitioner is directed to send a copy of this order along with a copy of the application he filed for general transfer along with its enclosures immediately to the Commissioner of School Education.

With this direction, the writ application is disposed of without any order as to costs.
