No.489 of 2023 and praying for a direction towards expeditious disposal of the original application.

Records reveal that the original application was filed by the petitioners challenging inter alia the selection process for appointment to the post of Fire Operator.

Mr. Chatterjee, learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that during pendency of the present writ petition, the Public Service Commission

has furnished the names and communication addresses of 49 recommended candidates, in compliance with the earlier order passed by the learned Tribunal.

He further submits that the said recommended candidates need to be added as party respondents and an application to that effect would be filed by the petitioners before the learned Tribunal within two weeks.

Ms. Sarkar, learned advocate enters appearance on behalf of the Commission.

Upon hearing the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties, we dispose of the present writ petition with liberty to the petitioners to take appropriate steps in the pending original application before the learned Tribunal.

Needless to observe that in the event any application for addition of parties is filed within period, as stated above, the learned Tribunal would take appropriate steps towards expeditious disposal of the original application, without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned advocates for the parties.
