Anwar Hossain .....For the State The Court is approached under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure soliciting a direction to ensure expeditious disposal of a pending NDPS Case being No. N/25/2018 of Learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, 6th Court, Barasat under Sections 21(c)/29 of the NDPS Act, 1985. Having considered the submission of the learned advocate for the petitioner revealing that the petitioner is in custody for the alleged recovery of the contraband, above the commercial quantity, requiring the pending case to be disposed of expeditiously and the counter-submission of the State transpiring the progress of the instant case, the Court is of the view that the instant revisional application may be disposed of, so as to subserve the purpose of justice, as proposed to obtain giving direction mentioned as hereunder:- The learned Court below is directed to ensure expeditious disposal of the pending case after making effective utilization of the date so far fixed, and if necessary upon resorting to steps available under

Section 309 of the Code of Criminal Procedure so that logical conclusion of this case may be reached within a reasonable period of direction.

With these directions and observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
