The learned advocate for respondent no. 6 submits that, in response to the petitioners' complaint, a hearing notice was issued to all parties, including the petitioners. However, the petitioners have failed to provide any documentary evidence to support their claim of right, title, and interest over the disputed land. The learned advocate for the Uttarpara-Kotrung Municipality submits that, following the petitioners' complaint, a stop-work notice has already been issued in relation to the construction in question.

Additionally, he states that the petitioners have been

granted time to submit the necessary documents to substantiate their claims.

In light of the above, I am not inclined to keep this writ petition pending. Accordingly, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the Uttarpara Kotrung Municipality to render a final decision regarding the alleged unauthorised construction within one month from the date of this order after hearing the parties. Accordingly, WPA 7893 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
