And In the matter of: Raja Quereshi & Ors.

....petitioners.

Mr. Apurba Kumar Datta ... for the petitioners.

Mr. Imran Ali Mr. Mirza Firoj Ahmed Begg ...for the State.

Petitioners seek anticipatory bail.

In response to a query of the Court, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the husband is yet to surrender.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State refers to the materials in the case diary.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary and considering the fact that the complaint was lodged within the five years of marriage and considering the fact that the husband of the victim is yet to participate in the investigations, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM (A) 1801 of 2022, is rejected.
