Anwar Hossain Ms. Debjani Sahu ... for the State This is the application seeking an expeditious disposal of a proceeding in which a charge sheet was submitted under Sections 323,406 and 498A of the Indian Penal Code.

Let a copy of the revisional application be handed over to Md. Anwar Hossain and Ms. Debjani Sahu, learned counsels who ordinarily appear on behalf of the State. They are requested to appear in this matter. Their engagement may be regularised by the competent authority of the State in due course. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is an accused in this case. Although the F.I.R. was lodged in September 2019 and the Charge Sheet was also submitted in the same month and year, till date the proceeding could not be concluded. The next date has been fixed for supply of copies. Even charges could not be framed till date. The proceeding has remained pending for no fault on the part of the petitioner. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that no inordinate delay has been occasioned in this case. I have heard the submissions of the learned counsels of the petitioner and the State and have perused the revision petition.

No prejudice would be caused to any one if a direction is passed in respect of this application for an expeditious disposal of the proceeding.

It does not appear that inordinate delay was occasioned in this case.

However, the case is pending since 2019. Therefore, it is expected that the learned Trial Court would dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties.

With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
