Mazumder ... for the Petitioner This is an application praying for an expeditious disposal of a proceeding under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is a complainant in this case. Although the petition of complainant was filed on 20th June 2019, till date the proceeding could not be concluded. The accused surrendered before the learned Trial Court and got bail on 02.01.2020. Thereafter long dates are being fixed. In fact, on 07.10.2020 the next date was fixed on 21.04.2021, nearly six months after first day. The proceeding has remained pending for no fault on the part of the petitioner.

I have heard the submission of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and have perused the revision petition. No prejudice would be caused to any one if a direction is passed for an expeditious disposal of the case. It appears that some delay was occasioned in concluding the impugned proceeding, especially considering the statutory stipulation contained in Section 143(3) of the Negotiable Instruments Act. In view of the above and in the interest of justice, I request the learned Trial Court to conclude the proceeding as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the

parties and keeping in view the statutory stipulation for an expeditious disposal of the proceeding as contained in Section 143(3) of the Negotiable Instruments Act. .

With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
