Mr. Datta, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State respondents, has produced a document before the court. Such document reveals that the petitioners who are senior citizens and parents of the respondent nos. 7 and 8 as also the respondent nos. 7 and 8, attended the police station pursuant to the notice issued by the police authorities. The dispute had been settled amicably. Such settlement has been recorded.

The direction of this court was upon the police authorities to enquire as to whether the petitioners were ousted by the respondent nos. 7 and 8. The

police report further reveals that the petitioners were escorted back to the residence.

However, it is contended by Mr. Ghosh, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioners, that after the police left, the respondent nos. 7 and 8 locked the bed rooms and the parents do not have a room of their own.

The learned advocate for the respondent nos. 7 and 8 denies such allegation.

The writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Officer-in-Charge, Chanditala Police Station to ensure that the petitioners who are senior citizens must be accommodated in a room and allowed to use the common areas and facilities.

The police authorities shall keep a vigil to ensure that the senior citizens are neither disturbed nor harassed by the respondent nos. 7 and 8.

The police authorities shall be at liberty to act in accordance with law, in case any mental or physical torture or injury reported.

The report of the police authorities along with the settlement arrived at between the parties are kept on record.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the server copy of this order.
