The revisional application has been preferred challenging the chargesheet submitted in connection with Uluberia P. S. Case No. 315 of 2020 dated 22.11.2020.

The case started on the basis of a matrimonial discord under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC. The complaint alleges of physical and mental torture being inflicted upon the private opposite party as well as the demand of dowry. The investigating agency on conclusion of investigation submitted chargesheet before the jurisdictional court. Today, when the matter was called, none appears on behalf of the petitioners. The matter was earlier called on December 16, 2021, when accommodation was sought for.

Learned advocate for the wife/opposite party is present and

opposes the unnecessary pendency of the present revisional application before this court.

Mrs. Sahu, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State produces the case diary. Learned advocate submits that the chargesheet was submitted in the year 2020.

I have taken into account the materials appearing in the case diary, particularly the statement of the witnesses which reflects that there was torture inflicted upon the private opposite party/wife. Prima facie, the allegations relating to Section 498A and Section 406 of the Indian Penal Code are satisfactory for consideration of the charges by the learned Magistrate. No case for interference has been made out.

Accordingly, the present revisional application being CRR 899 of 2021 is dismissed.
