Mr. Dipankar Paramanick ......For the State The petitioner is in custody since 23rd June, 2020 and the records of the case reflects that learned trial court was pleased to fix 7th of May, 2022 for consideration of charge. Mr. Sur, learned advocate is directed to appear on behalf of the State. His appearance may be regularized by the concerned authorities.

In view of the fact that the petitioner is in custody for about 22 months. Learned Special Court is directed to comply with the process of consideration of charge on 7th May, 2022 or within a week thereafter and proceed with the trial of the case. Learned trial court would fix dates/schedule on each and every ninety days so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to either of the parties and the Public Prosecutor conducting the case would ensure that on the dates/schedule so fixed, the witnesses are available before the court.

With the above observation CRR 1298 of 2022 is disposed of.
