The petitioners have made a representation to the Director of Pension, Provident Fund & Group Insurance for release of terminal benefits on account of death of their brother namely Late Gopinath Bhattacharyya, former Assistant Teacher of Basudevpur Vidyasagar Bidyapith.

The petitioners rely upon a Legal Heir Certificate issued by the Collector, Paschim Medinipur indicating that the petitioner No.1 and three other persons are legal heirs of the deceased teacher.

In these circumstances, the Director of Pension, Provident Fund & Group Insurance and the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Paschim Medinipur shall consider and dispose of the petitioners' representation dated 29th January 2022 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The Director of Pension, Provident Fund & Group Insurance and the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Paschim Medinipur shall be entitled to call for appropriate records and inputs from the concerned authorities including the school.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
