1. By way of this public interest litigation the petitioner alleges that the 14th respondent is illegally carrying on mining activities of sand and has also unauthorisedly sub-leased the lease granted in his favour.

2. As rightly pointed out by the learned Government counsel, the representation was sent through speed post only on 25th March, 2025 and the writ petition was affirmed on 26th March, 2025. This shows that the writ petitioner without even waiting for the authorities to take action on the representation has

rushed to this court which will be on good ground to dismiss the writ petition.

3. The learned Government counsel has produced the copy of the written instruction given by the Additional District Magistrate and District Land and Land Reforms Officer, Bankura along with annexures.

4. From the said report it is seen that the allegations made by the petitioner appear to be incorrect.

Since the petitioner has approached this court within one day after sending the representation, we cannot grant any direction as sought for and the only direction will be to the Additional District Magistrate and District Land and Land Reforms Officer, Bankura to send an appropriate reply to the writ petitioner within three weeks with regard to the allegations made in the representation.

6. The learned advocate appearing for the 14th respondent submitted that excavation permit has been granted by the Government on 18.3.2025 and no illegality has been committed by the private respondent.

Furthermore, it is submitted that repeatedly such writ petitions have been filed by people who are set up from the local area and earlier WPA(P) 71 of 2025 has been filed which was disposed of by order dated 27.3.2025.

8. With the above observations, the matter is dismissed.
