Affidavit of Service filed on behalf of the petitioner be kept with the records.

Significantly, by an earlier order dated 30 April 2026, an opportunity was granted to effect service on the private respondents. However, the private respondents continue to remain unrepresented. 4.

The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the refusal of the CESC Limited to provide a separate electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner.

On behalf of the petitioner it is submitted that by an earlier order passed by a Coordinate Bench the matter had been referred to the Grievance Redressal Officer. Being aggrieved by the order passed by the GRO, the petitioner had preferred an appeal before the Ombudsman. By an order

dated 7 January 2026 the Ombudsman has directed that a separate electricity connection be provided to the petitioner. There has been no appeal against this order, the CESC has also accepted the said order which is now final and binding.

In view of the above, WPA 7708 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the CESC Limited to provide a separate electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner upon payment of all statutory charges and after compliance with all formalities.

In carrying out the above exercise, CESC Limited is at liberty to take police assistance if the circumstances so arise. Any cost for police assistance would be exclusively borne by the petitioner. The above exercise is to be completed within six weeks from the date.
