, < Mr. Arindam Das Ms. Priyanka Kundu ... for the petitioners ,,, This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioners are aggrieved by inaction on the part of the respondent authorities on acting on the order of the District Magistrate, Murshidabad dated 23rd May, 2017. The relevant portion of the order is delineated below:

"

ORDER

Therefore, in my considered view, the petitioners may be engaged after getting approval from the State Government as per proposal of Gram Panchayat as per terms and conditions of the Memo No.499/PN/O/1/2A2/2014 dated 25.02.2014. Hence, the petitions submitted by the petitioners are considered and disposed of.

Let the copy communicated to the petitioner and other concerned officer".

Inspite of direction having been given in the year for filing affidavits, but no affidavits are forthcoming from the respondent authorities.

No one appears on behalf of the respondents.

In light of the same, I am of the view that this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the

respondent no.2 being the Special Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Department of Panchayats & Rural Development, to take action and grant approval in terms of the order passed by the District Magistrate, Murshidabad in terms of existing memo no.499/PN/O/ 1/2A-2/2014 dated 25.02.2014.

In light of the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
