The petitioner seeks permission from the Bally Municipality for construction of a prayer room. It appears from the documents annexed to the writ petition that the application seeking permission was served when the Bally Municipality was under the jurisdiction of the Howrah Municipal Corporation. After bifurcation of the Bally Municipality from the Howrah Municipal Corporation, no representation has been filed by the petitioner.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by granting leave to the petitioner to make a

proper representation before the Bally Municipality seeking such permission.

In the event such a representation is filed, the same shall be considered by the Bally Municipality in accordance with law, after giving a reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties at the earliest. The reasoned decision shall be communicated to the petitioner.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
