Ms. Priti Banerjee ....for the ECL No one has appeared for the petitioner after the matter was filed. The matter was filed by Pavan Kumar Sharma (in-person) seeking to give the petitioner effect of service linked promotion from 29th July, 2023 coupled with the arrears with interest.

By an order dated 8th August, 2024, this Court directed Eastern Coldfields Limited (in short, 'ECL') to serve the legal heirs / heiresses of the petitioner since it was brought to the notice of this Court by ECL that the petitioner had died after filing the writ petition. ECL has served a notice on 7th October, 2024 to Shanti Devi Sharma, the mother of the petitioner, Lalita Devi Sharma, the wife of the petitioner and Ramwatar Sharma, the father of the petitioner. Pursuant to such notice it is not submitted by the learned advocate for the ECL that ECL has received a communication from the wife of the petitioner that she is no more interested

to proceed with the writ petition. The notice and the reply along with the register of employees wherein the details of the family members have been declared by the petitioner placed before the Court are taken on record.

The writ petition is accordingly, dismissed for nonprosecution. ( Arindam Mukherjee, J. )
