It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody for more than a year. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record. On the leading statement of the petitioner, fake Indian currency notes (FICNs) valued at Rs.15 lakhs were recovered. His bail prayer was rejected earlier on merits. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date.
