Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 290 days. Police filed charge sheet and, therefore, further detention of the petitioner is not required. The petitioner was falsely implicated.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. He submits that the vouchers contain the signature of the petitioner.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as appearing from the materials in the case diary and considering the fact that public money is involved, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM (DB) 1057 of 2022 is dismissed.
